The Bystanders

Sitting outside the civil court and watching families fighting on road has become an entertaining time-pass for random by-passers, which is an everyday scene here in my city. It's quite funny and fascinating at the same time to see different people from various sectors of society traveling all day on roads to earn peace and happiness for them and their loved ones.

Next, my gaze rushed towards a little boy aged 15, driving a two-wheeler & suddenly crashed into a car. There was a policeman nearby at his post, still, it took him several minutes to turn his attention to the scene where 'our-so-called' responsible citizens have already taken the matter in their hands --- The Crime Scene Looked like----- ''An Old Lady wiping off blood from little boy's forehead, who still lays off on the road'', ''Nobody cared to call an ambulance, but acting worried & fascinated by the scene'', ''Others who are more than just 'worried' and 'fascinated' has finally taken responsibility punishing driver with thrashing and beating long before his crime being judged''  , I on the other hand like other 'Silent Majority' is standing and enjoying the show.

At last, the most awaited person on the road is finally here.....'Traffic Inspector'..., he checked the condition of the child, instead of calling an ambulance, he turned his gaze towards the car driver and start questioning him like he's a Branded Criminal. But after few minutes of So-Called INVESTIGATION and few "Handshakes" with the driver, the car driver looked relieved, sat in the car & took off to his destination...."A Happy Ending......INDEED!!". Coming back to the injured child, his parents finally arrived at the scene, and again with few more mysterious Handshakes with Traffic Inspector they also left the scene looking relieved with the child.

Most funny thing out of this whole incident is that nobody attempted to question the traffic laws on road, no one questioned the parents who gave a bike to an underage, no one questioned the traffic inspector who should have informed the medical services at once, no one questioned the 'Magical Handshake' of both the parties with the Inspector, not even a single sole!!! But moments after this pathetic roadshow, everybody seemed to be so relaxed as if nothing has happened at all and carried on with their work.....Well... So did I.
